Salmon and Trout

The largest river in Stryn, "Stryneelva," is one of Norways finest rivers, and will sure give you nice fishing experiences. Here you will find very good fishing conditions where you can use different equipment like woobles flies and worms.  Common fish species caught here are sea trout, freshwater trout, char and eel. If you are looking for good sea fishing, you cannot do any better than outer Stryn centre, in Nordfjord. Here you can catch a huge cod or salmon of your dreams, not to mention other delicious such as wolf fish and monkfish! The fishing in this area is rich and varied, and it is possible to catch most of the different kinds of fish that live along the coast.

Deer hunting

Are you interested in deer hunting? "Eikjevadet" hunting area is one of the best hunting areas in Stryn. 172 deers ave been shot here the last four years. "Lunde" hunting area (in "Eikjevadet" will sure give you hunting experiences for life. You can also take trips in the forest and up to the mountains for hare and grous hunting.

Mountain trips

From the cabins and areas around the lake in Stryn ("Strynevatnet") you can take trips in the forest and up to the mountains. The trips can be breathtaking and gives you fantastic experiences. In the Stryn valley you can choose from the easiest to the most challaging trip.There are many roads and paths to mountain farms, cabins and mountains in the whole valley.

 Stryn Skisenter

12 kilometer from the Stryneelva cabins you will find a 1180 meters long ski-lift. The altitude difference from one end to another is 380 meters. Thre different paths (different difficulty level). Cafe and heating room. Lights in the evening, ski-school after appointment, good skiing conditions, perfect for mountain trips on ski in the winter!

The Summer Ski Centre is a popular attractions in Stryn.
Whether you like alpine, telemark, snowboard, freestyle or cross country skiing: at Stryn Summer Ski Centre you can enjoy the unique experience to ski on summer snow. The ski centre can offer two lifts, ski rental, ski school, cafeteria and lots of fun.
Stryn Summer Ski Centre is situated by "Gamle Strynefjellsvegen", the old road over Stryn Mountain, 35 kilometres east of Stryneelva Hyttegrend.
